      <image:title>About - Tony Perkins</image:title>
<image:caption>Landscape Architect / Project Manager Tony was inspired to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture through participation in outdoor recreation in the Eastern Sierras. Work with non-profit organizations provided experience in rural land planning and environmental sustainability early in his career. Working under established Landscape Architects and Civil Engineers built on that experience, allowing Tony to manage progressively bigger projects, with tighter deadlines and bigger teams. Tony excels in site engineering, including grading/drainage and irrigation plans. He is excellent at research and analysis, collecting, compiling, and evaluating site information to establish a well-informed basis for design. Verbal, written, and graphic communication are Tony’s greatest strengths, with the ability to interpret and explain technical data, and organize and exhibit it in a variety of plans and illustrative materials that are easily-understood and well-received by consultants, clients, and stakeholders.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About - Denise Estrada</image:title>
<image:caption>Shrubber / Graphic Designer Denise draws from her background in fashion to come up with unique designs inspired by quilting, crocheting, and knitting, fine art and jewelry making, providing her with an endless source of ideas and patterns, with a profound sense of beauty and balance. Relevant skills include hand graphics using a wide variety of artistic media, and computer graphics using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Denise creates design graphics for SRD, and her artwork has been exhibited in interpretive displays, art galleries, and public art installments. Denise is currently studying Horticulture with UCLA Extension. Non-commercial certification as a Master Gardener, and a collection of gardening and horticulture books amassed from thrift stores gave her classic training in landscape design and horticulture, while a thriving plant collection, maintenance of a community garden plot, and work experience at golf courses and nurseries has given her hands-on experience in native/drought-tolerant landscapes and the use of commercially-available nursery stock.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Nature-Based - Natural Burial Grounds</image:title>
<image:caption>Sustainable Recreation Design is excited to pioneer the design of natural burial grounds. These environmentally-sustainable alternatives to traditional cemeteries are the future of post-humous memorialization. Traditional cemeteries have a tremendous environmental impact, with thousand of tons of concrete and toxic chemicals buried and excessive energy consumption and co2 emissions associated with cremation. Natural burial grounds forego toxic embalming fluids and use biodegradable containers, caskets, shrouds, and urns , rather than vaults. Sustainable design considerations support sustainable management practices and land conservation efforts, reduce water consumption, and reduce or discontinue the use of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers in favor of drought-tolerant, native landscapes with natural monuments and memorials.</image:caption>
